Vixen VMC95L with Mobile Porta Mount
Vixen’s VMC 95L is a small telescope with big ambitions. With a curved vane Secondary Mirror Spider to reduce diffraction effects, this small telescope performs like its larger cousins the VMC110L, and VMC200L. With excellent light gathering, you will tour the surface of the moon or view planets with ease.
Take this lightweight telescope everywhere. The sharp optics of the Vixen VMC95L Modified Cassegrain telescope meets Vixen’s high standard. The lightweight Vixen VMC95L, is a 95 mm (3.7 inch) aperture modified Cassegrain f/11 optical tube assembly. The built-in focuser slides the primary mirror.
The VMC95L also features a built-in 1.25″ diagonal and straight-through camera port. Photography is easy. Attach your camera to the telescope and view through the eyepiece then slide the diagonal and take a picture of your target. Includes one eyepiece and a red dot finder. 5 Year Warranty.
The New Mobile Porta is a variation of Vixen’s award winning Porta II Mount. This mount is easier to transport due to its unique multi function fork arm which allows the Mobile Porta to fold much more compactly than its predecessors. At less than 8 pounds this mount is ready to go to all your observing sites.
Your telescope can be moved manually to the right position and then fine tuned with the slow motion controls. The multi function single fork arm folds without the use of tools for easy transport and storage. Setting up your scope in minutes is a simple operation.
The direction of the multi arm can be rotated at angle of 15 degree intervals so that you avoid having the telescope impeded by the slow motion handles. Additionally, the vertical slow motion control can move outward.

Slow motion handles
The whole-circle slow motion movement of the PORTA II provides smooth telescope operation at every pointing angle. Handle positions of both vertical and horizontal slow motion controls can be altered in 45-degree increments. This allows a comfortable posture while using the slow motion handles for various size optical tubes.

Dovetail-plate attachment
With Vixen’s renowened dovetail-plate system, many optical tubes, up to 160mm in outer diameter, can easily be swapped on and off the mount.

Accessory tray
An accessory tray holds small pieces such as a camera or eyepieces. Very useful when observing at night.

Compartment for tools
Slow motion handles positions and the amount of friction on the axes are adjusted with tools located in the compartment under the rubber covering. You will always have your tools available.
